“We were struggling to keep our website updated”
Milton Keynes Museum is constantly changing, and regularly incorporates new events, exhibitions and displays. Their old website was very restrictive, and it was very difficult for the museum to keep their website updated with all the latest news, events, displays and exhibitions.
They needed a new website that was easy for their internal team to keep managed and updated, and easy for visitors to navigate in order to find relevant information, resources and up-coming events.

We made sure the website no longer belonged in a museum
It was important that, despite the fact that the museum may be filled with historic artefacts, their website was modern, fresh and appealing to audiences of all ages. We created a completely new design and layout for the museum’s website, with interactive features and engaging effects.
Our design and UX team worked closely with the MK Museum to develop a user journey that was intuitive, easy to navigate, and easy for visitors to book tickets.
The new website breaks down the content into various sections, allowing users to easily distinguish between exhibitions, up-coming events, and important news.
It has been designed to offer a perfect user experience from mobile devices, which was necessary due to the high number of visitors accessing the website from their mobiles.
MK MUSEUM
We integrated a sophisticated ticketing system into the website, allowing for visitors to easily purchase tickets.
We also developed a custom donation system, which lets users make donations to the museum and give additional GiftAid.

As part of the project planning process, our UX designers had extensive collaboration with MK Museum to ensure that the user journey matched the goal of the site and that nothing was taken for granted.
We continue to work closely with MK Museum on the creation of new functionality and improvements for the website. The new website has been very well received by visitors, and the museum is delighted that visitor numbers are at an all time high.
